On August 26, Barclays PLC (BCS.US) announced the appointment of Ramin Naji as Managing Director and Head of Healthcare and Real Estate for the Asia-Pacific region.
Based in Hong Kong, Ramin Naji will spearhead the bank's healthcare and property sector operations across the region, with a primary focus on driving client acquisition, deal origination, and transaction execution. He will work closely with global product and client coverage teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions encompassing advisory, financing, and risk management services.
In terms of reporting structure, Ramin Naji will report regionally to Avinash Thakur, Head of Investment Banking for Asia-Pacific at Barclays, and functionally to Richard Landgarten, Global Head of the Healthcare and Real Estate Group.
Prior to joining Barclays, Ramin Naji held the position of Managing Director and Head of Healthcare for Asia-Pacific at Deutsche Bank. Before that, he served in investment banking roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and worked in proprietary investment and advisory capacities in Tokyo and Hong Kong.
With over two decades of experience in the financial industry, Ramin Naji brings deep expertise spanning healthcare, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets. This appointment underscores Barclays' strategic commitment to strengthening its sector-focused investment banking presence in the Asia-Pacific region and expanding its client base within the healthcare and real estate industries.
