On October 11, Cai Zhiqiang, Vice Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, conducted an in-depth research visit to our county regarding public elderly care services and ecological sewage treatment. Huo Junbo, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Mayor, and Liu Yuanjian, Chairman of the County CPPCC, accompanied the research visit.

Vice Chairman Cai Zhiqiang and the delegation visited the day care center in Xihe Village, Qingxiang Town, and the county sewage treatment plant for on-site inspections. At the Xihe Village day care center, he gained a detailed understanding of the center's daily operations, elderly accommodation and meals, and safety management. He required relevant units to strictly uphold food safety and fire safety bottom lines, standardize daily management, deliver practical convenience services for the elderly, and effectively ensure a safe and comfortable life for senior citizens.

At the county sewage treatment plant, Cai Zhiqiang examined in detail the plant's equipment operation, sewage treatment, and compliant discharge conditions, with a key focus on hearing reports concerning the progress of the sewage treatment plant expansion project. He required that project milestones be closely monitored, construction quality strictly controlled, and construction safety firmly implemented, so as to efficiently and orderly advance the completion and effectiveness of the expansion project. At the same time, normalized operation and maintenance management of the plant should continue to be carried out well, treatment processes optimized, supporting pipe networks improved, and effluent water quality stabilized, continuously enhancing the county's sewage treatment capacity and ecological governance level, steadily improving urban and rural living environments, and supporting the county's high-quality development.
